BECOOL a Horizon 2020 research and innovation project to foster the cooperation between the European Union and Brazil, for the development of advanced lignocellulosic biofuels, produced from sustainable agricultural value chains. BECOOL is strictly aligned with BioVALUE, a twin project in Brazil funded by five State Foundations and five industrial companies. The two projects adopt a synergistic work programme that is based upon three common pillars:
RE-CORD focuses its activities on three main pillars: (1) demonstration of slow/intermediate pyrolysis to produce bio-intermediates to be further processed to advanced biofuels; (2) investigate the current legislative framework of advanced biofuels; (3) developing lignocellulosic value chains to improve energy efficiency and logistics.
BECOOL is a project funded under the European Union's Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation program (Grant agreement No. 744821).
